Which personal access door to use for your next container? 200.BF v 200.47

12 November 2015

About to add a personal access door to your next container? Not quite sure which one to buy?  The two most popular doors that we have found are the 200.BF and the 200.47.

The 200.BF comprises of a semi solid metal clad door with steel facings, pre-hung into a frame. This purpose built container door is pre-hung into a weld-in frame that we refer to as a ‘Box Frame’.

If you are looking to cut down the installation time and also increase the security you may want to look at the 200.BF.  There is no need to frame an opening as you can just cut your opening and just install. It’s our welded in option and it gives increased security. The 200.BF can come in a raw or powder coated finish and but can be painted to match your container and retro fitted.

Our 200.47, being the more standard product, will initially cost less than the 200.BF.  This double skin metal door has steel facing and a four sided steel door jamb. However, you need to keep in mind the additional “after purchase” costs of the RHS or timber required to box the opening in the container wall and also the labour time and cost involved in installing this on site.

The 200.BF is a slightly stronger and slightly more durable product due to the design of its profile however both have a 2-year warranty and can be delivered anywhere across Australia.

Our 200.47 inward swing profile is available now with the 200.BF inward swing profile currently in R&D and we are hoping to launch it early next year.

Lastly in regards to availability. We will be holding stock doors of the 200.47 from the start of December with a lesser quantity of the 200.BF ready and waiting in December.
